The Great Zodiac Race, a delightfully illustrated children’s picture book, is a charming modern take on the classic Chinese story of how 13 different animals competed in the legendary race, with the first 12 winners receiving their own zodiac signs. Its accompanying Zodiac Race Series goes into more details about each animal’s story, personality and challenges while weaving in timeless moral values and aspects of Asian culture.
Author: W. C. Jefferson, born in the year of the Horse, is a father of two who had a dream about writing storybooks for his children and reading to them at night. The Great Zodiac Race and his Zodiac Race Series are the realization of this dream. His elder son is a Dragon and his younger son is a Snake. They all live happily and peacefully under the guidance and protection of the Mommy Sheep.
