Toucan Publishing announced that its debut children’s book, The Great Zodiac Race by W C Jefferson and T F Wister has been honored as “Winner” in the “Children’s Picture Book: Softcover Fiction” category of the 2018 International Book Awards.

This is the second time The Great Zodiac Race has won an award, having also been honored as winner in the “Children’s Picture Book; Softcover Fiction” category for the 2017 Best Book Awards.

The International Book Awards are in its 9th year, and it reviews books from both from mainstream and independent publishers. The awards this year were presented for titles published in 2016-2018, and this year’s contest received more than 2,000 entries.

Jeffrey Keen, president and CEO of American Book Fest, said “The 2018 results represent a phenomenal mix of books from a wide array of publishers throughout the world.”
